The National Window Advisory Service Who We Are? The NWAS is an industry consortium formed around the principle of educating the consumer on the process of replacing their windows. We are made up of manufacturers, retailers, distributors, suppliers and consultants to the vinyl window industry. What Do We Do? The NWAS provides the following services to the consumer: 1. “Replacing your Windows with Confidence” – a complete guide to the process of purchasing vinyl replacement windows for your home. This in-depth report will walk you through the process of replacing your windows. It poses and answers the most common questions that homeowners have about selecting the right contractor, choosing the right windows, warranties, prices and more. This is the cornerstone publication of the National Window Advisory Service. 2. Certified Contractor List – Retail Members of the National Window Advisory Service represent your best choice for vinyl replacement windows. To qualify as a member of the NWAS, window retailers must possess the following: a. A minimum 5 Year warranty on all Labor performed. b. A manufacturer sponsor to the program. Manufacturing sponsors provide you with an additional layer of credibility. Each NWAS member must be in good standing with their sponsor with regards to financial status, warranty claims and best business practices. c. Proof of current General Liability Insurance totaling a minimum $500,000.00 USD in aggregate coverage. d. Proof of current Workers Compensation Insurance. e. A dedication to providing the best product and service possible for a fair price…before, during and after the sale.
